Another great letter to the editor by a member of New Hampshire Seacoast Liberty, Dan Davis. Here’s a brief excerpt:
This leads to some fundamental questions: Why do the riders of the Downeaster rely on fellow taxpayers to subsidize their transportation? Why don’t they pay their own way?
Riders of the train might answer that the fares would then be too expensive. But don’t they realize that by not paying enough to cover the cost of their ride, they are increasing the transportation costs of those forced to subsidize the service?

Hey, how is that $850 billion bailout working out for you? How does your 401(k) look today? Aren’t you glad that Barney Frank, Judd Gregg, Nancy Pelosi and George Bush decided to let the Federal Reserve and the Treasury department handle this crisis?

Seal’s, it’s been a fun and productive 6 months here on Meetup. We’ve had hundreds of events, very well attended regularly. We’ve established quite a nice community of freedom folks and we’re continuing to grow. That said, it’s time to pay the bills again. So, with the number of active Seal members, it ought to be only a couple of bucks each to cover the cost of the next 6 months fee. The cost is $72.00. Please chip in!
UPDATE: Thank you to all of those that supported this drive.

Another great letter to the editor by a member of New Hampshire Seacoast Liberty, Scott Mcpherson. Here’s a brief excerpt:

Great news!
With 70% of the vote, the Rochester taxpayers sent the message loud and clear that we want smaller government and less spending. This overwhelming mandate gives the City Council and the city manager clear direction from the people – no more irresponsible use of the taxpayer’s money.
